What is a juice you don't like?

We like to talk about the benefits of juicing different fruits and vegetables, but are there some juices you don't like? We asked everyone in our office to tell us their LEAST favorite juices.

There are a lot of different fruits and vegetables out there to be juiced, from common produce like oranges and carrots to more unusual tastes like dandelion or onion. But just because we love to juice doesn't mean we like everything. We asked around the office to find out everyone's least favorite juices.

"While I like orange juice by itself, I don't like it mixed with other juices. To me, orange juice always overpowers the other flavors in a mix."

"Since I haven't tried many different juices, I can't really say what I don't like. I have to say onion juice doesn't sound so good."

"Actually I like just about every juice. I haven't found one that I can really say I don't like. However, I don't like juices that are too spicy. For example, a juice with too much ginger in it."

"I don't like juice from leafy greens. I would rather drink something sweet. My favorite is orange and celery."

"I don't like a lot of leafy greens in my juice, unless it is masked with a lot of fruit. I will drink juice from greens, but I need to close my eyes and tell myself 'This is for my health' over and over."

"For me, pineapple juice is overpoweringly sweet. If I have pineapple juice, it needs to be mixed with carrots and some greens like spinach to mellow it. Also, pure nettle juice has a really disgusting texture and is best in very small quantities mixed with other juices."

Don't be afraid of new flavors

Even though we are talking about juices we don't like, it's always good to try something new. The key is to start small. Just add a little bit of a new ingredient to a basic existing recipe. For example, add a little bit of spinach to any recipe. It has such a mild flavor that it is almost unnoticed with juices like carrot or orange. Of course, it will change the color of the juice.

On the other hand, strong ingredients like ginger or turmeric should be handled with caution. Just add a tiny bit and test it. If you like it, add a little more. The important thing is to not push the recipe to a point where you or your family doesn't like it.

For the easiest way to make any recipe, follow the simple steps in our article "How to make perfect juice every time."
