I don’t like bananas and broccoli is awful. How often do you hear something like that from your children? Fruits are still quite ok, but negotiations about vegetables are usually very tough. We have an easy solution how to attract even the most stubborn kids – try colorful fresh drinks and sorbets to provide them with a lot of vitamins and minerals.

According to the latest researches 80 % of children don’t eat enough fruits and vegetables. Let’s have a look what are the optimal daily amounts of fruits and vegetables for your children:

  • Babies until the age of 1 year should eat ca. 100g of fruits and the same amount of vegetables throughout the whole day.
  • For toddlers from 1 to 3 years is ideal to eat 100-120g of fruits and 100-180g of vegetables divided in 2 snacks every day.
  • Children from the age of 3 years should eat 2 portions of fruits and 3 portions of vegetables every day.

To provide your children with an appropriate amount of vitamins you should prepare fruits and vegetables as a “side dish” to every meal. An apple a day is definitely not enough!

Don’t make fools of your children

The first thing your children taste after the mother’s milk is vegetable in form of bad looking snacks without any spices and that’s why children hate it.

Therefore the Internet is full of manuals how to hide fruits and vegetables in the food for your children. If we can give you an advice, don’t be that crafty. When children uncover this cheat, they start to hate fruits and vegetables even more and you totally loose their confidence.

Don’t force your children to eat fruits and vegetables. It’s much better to think about making it funnier and tastier.

Juiced vitamins are fun

Children love to help in the kitchen and preparation of fresh fruit and vegetable juices is exceptionally attractive for them. A lot of colors altogether with delicious taste and no chewing make it a huge fun.

Moreover, high quality juicers such as Sana Juicer EUJ-707 can prepare even sorbets and ice creams. That’s why we’re coming with 3 original recipes you can try with your children:

Piňa colada for kids (2 drinks)

  • ½ pineapple
  • 1 apple
  • 2-3 spoons of coconut milk
  • 1 orange
  • 1 banana

Peal pineapple, orange, banana and apple. Cut everything in smaller pieces and feed your juicer with them. When your drink is ready, add coconut milk and stir it.

Frozen watermelon

  • ½ watermelon
  • 1 portion of “orange crushed ice”

First of all prepare “orange crushed ice” – juice 1 big orange and mix the juice with 100ml of water. Put it in the freezer for an hour, then stir it and put it back for ca. 30 minutes. Stir it one more time and your crushed ice is ready. Juice watermelon and mix its juice with your orange crushed ice. That’s it!

Chocolate bananas

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 orange
  • 75 ml of yoghurt or a scoop of chocolate ice cream with a little bit of milk
  • grated chocolate
Chocolate bananas juice

Owners of Sana Juicer EUJ-808 have everything much easier – they can add yoghurt and ice cream to mix it with banana and orange juice before pouring it into the glass.

In case you have different juicer, juice pealed bananas and orange first. Then mix yoghurt or ice cream in the glass with orange and banana juice – the best way is to use blender. Last of all grate chocolate on your tasty drink.
