Green lemonade for hot days
Apple, lemon, and mint – it’s a great combination.
This is a great recipe to start the day. It is full of antioxidants and has detoxifying benefits as well. You can sip on it all day long and keep cool on hot days.
Ingredients (makes 350 ml):
- 1 large green apple (Granny Smith is recommended)
- 1 lemon
- Sprig of mint
- 200 ml water (carbonated or still)
- Tablespoon of syrup (any flavor)
Juice together the apple, lemon, and mint. If you have a bio lemon and prefer a bolder taste, you can juice the lemon with some of the peel still on. Pour the juice into a pitcher or glass jar, add the water, and then sweeten to taste with the syrup..
Tip: If you have a vertical juicer with a drain cap, you can mix it all together in the juicer. Just close the cap and slowly add the ingredients in the order listed above. Let the juicer do the mixing for you for a few moments, then open the cap and you’ll have fresh lemonade on tap”
